Job summary

Synechron is hiring for an Application Support role in Iselin, NJ. You will support and enhance trading systems, work with Trading/Compliance/Risk and IT to ensure reliability and scalability, and contribute to automation and deployment initiatives.

Qualifications

Familiarity with Linux including command-line tools and shell scripting.
Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, with focus on query optimization.
Experience with job scheduling/automation tools such as Tidal, AutoSys, or Control-M.
Ability to define, document, and maintain operational procedures and runbooks.
Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Working knowledge of Python scripting.

Responsibilities

Implement pre-release and post-deployment validation and verification processes.
Integrate deployments with tools like Rundeck and Azure DevOps.
Develop and maintain application control scripts (start/stop/restart).
Monitor and integrate applications with observability platforms (Grafana, Splunk, OpsRamp).
Support disaster recovery planning and testing.
Configure servers and application environments; manage access controls.
