Qualifications

  • Experience supporting production trading and market data platforms.
  • Familiar with Linux commands, shell scripting, and scripting basics.
  • Solid SQL and relational database familiarity.
  • Experience with job scheduling/automation tools (Tidal, AutoSys, Control-M).
  • Knowledge of release packaging with Rundeck and Ansible.
  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong incident response and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to document and maintain runbooks and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Implement pre-release and post-deployment validation processes.
  • Integrate deployments with Rundeck and Azure DevOps.
  • Develop start/stop/restart scripts for applications.
  • Integrate monitoring with OpsRamp, Grafana, and Splunk.
  • Support DR and BC planning and testing.

  • Maintain tooling and scripts to improve reliability and efficiency.

Our challenge We are seeking a technology professional to support and enhance existing trading systems using modern technologies, data architectures, and software engineering practices. In this role, candidate will work closely with Trading, Compliance and Risk, and IT teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and operational effectiveness of critical trading and market data platforms. Candidate will be responsible for supporting production applications, improving operational processes, implementing automation, and contributing to infrastructure and deployment initiatives. The ideal candidate is a methodical problem solver who takes ownership of issues, communicates effectively with stakeholders, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced trading environment.

Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Iselin, NJ is $100k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role Responsibilities:
  • Implement pre-release and post-deployment validation and verification processes.
  • Integrate application deployments with tools such as Rundeck and Azure DevOps.
  • Develop and maintain application control solutions, including start, stop, and restart scripts.
  • Integrate applications with monitoring and observability platforms such as OpsRamp, Grafana, and Splunk.
  • Support annual Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning testing.
  • Provision and configure new servers and application environments.
  • Support user authentication and authorization processes and workflows.
  • Configure authentication mechanisms, service accounts, and related access controls.
  • Track and resolve production incidents, problem tickets, and follow-up actions.
  • Troubleshoot trading and market data production issues, including Level 3 support.
  • Recommend and implement infrastructure, automation, and operational improvements.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and tooling to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support regulatory, trading, and operational priorities.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with Linux, including command-line tools, file editing, searching and manipulation, and shell scripting.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including: Tables, views, and indexes Querying and modifying data Query performance analysis and optimization
  • Experience with job scheduling and automation tools such as Tidal, AutoSys, or Control-M.
  • A methodical approach to problem-solving, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to define, document, and maintain operational procedures and runbooks.
  • Familiarity with release packaging and deployment tools such as Rundeck and Ansible.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Python scripting.
