Job summary
Insight is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Chandler, AZ to own and advance our Kubernetes platform across Azure regions. You will design multi-cluster AKS, implement GitOps workflows, and optimize identity, security, and observability for production workloads.
You will lead architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with teams delivering cloud-native solutions at scale. Remote work flexibility is available within the Chandler area.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems in cloud-native environments.
- Expert-level proficiency in Go with microservices and backend platforms.
- Deep experience deploying and operating Kubernetes environments (AKS) including security, observability, and scaling.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement production AKS clusters across Azure regions.
- Create standardized regional AKS stamps using IaC and automated deployment pipelines.
- Implement GitOps-based workload deployment using Flux or Argo CD.
- Design node pools, autoscaling, upgrades, and cluster resiliency.
- Engineer workload identity and secret-management patterns with Azure services.
- Build observability using Azure Monitor, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana.
