Job summary

Sigma Defense Systems is seeking a Senior Kubernetes Infrastructure Developer to lead platform engineering for AKS in Azure. You will own Kubernetes infrastructure, automate provisioning, and drive secure, repeatable deployments across mission-critical workloads.

The role requires deep Kubernetes knowledge, IaC discipline, and experience with GitOps/CI/CD. Must be a U.S. citizen with DoD‑related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Design, deploy, and operate Kubernetes environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure and AKS.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and RBAC.
• Experience with IaC and automated deployment.
• Experience with Flux or Argo CD.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, configure, and maintain enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure in Azure AKS.
• Serve as senior technical resource for platform architecture and automation.
• Design scalable AKS architectures to support mission-critical apps.
• Automate provisioning and lifecycle management of AKS clusters and infra.
• Develop reusable IaC modules and deployment patterns.
• Implement GitOps/CI/CD for automated deployments.
• Implement networking, ingress, service discovery, and connectivity to Azure.
• Ensure secure RBAC, workload identity, and secret management.
