Job summary

Horizontal Talent seeks a senior Enterprise Architect specializing in knowledge graphs, ontology design, and enterprise content architecture. This fully remote role offers the chance to shape semantic data strategies and AI-ready information ecosystems.

You will lead discovery, define target architectures, and guide migrations to modern SaaS environments, collaborating with stakeholders, ontology teams, and engineering to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, knowledge engineering, semantic technologies, or enterprise content platforms.
• Hands-on experience with ontology modeling and knowledge graph design.
• Strong knowledge of RDF, OWL, SKOS, SPARQL, SHACL, and JSON-LD.
• Experience with linked data integration patterns in large organizations.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable semantic architectures and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and analysis of current-state content platforms and semantic architectures.
• Define target-state architectures, roadmaps, and implementation recommendations for modernization.
• Design and implement knowledge graph and ontology solutions for complex domains.
• Develop semantic models, metadata strategies, taxonomies, and standards.
• Translate requirements into scalable architectures and technical backlog items.
• Guide migrations of knowledge graph platforms to modern SaaS environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to ensure delivery.
• Advise on RDF-based transformations, linked data approaches, and cloud-native services.
• Support monitoring, production readiness, and maintenance considerations.
