Job summary

HelloFresh is seeking an Area Manager I, Sous Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations in a high-volume commissary setting. You will train staff, manage inventory and procurement, and ensure food safety and quality while meeting production targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related work experience.
• 5+ years in commissary kitchen and high-volume food preparation.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite.
• ACF chef certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train kitchen staff and provide coaching to shift hourly personnel.
• Oversee security, inventory, and storage of food items.
• Procure, deliver, store and issue food items.
• Plan energy conservation and maintain SOP adherence.
• Provide tools, training and direction to staff.
• Update managers on shift operations and performance metrics.
• Investigate accidents and drive process improvements.
