Great Minds is seeking a Lead Policy Analyst to drive policy intelligence across federal, state, and local levels. Reporting to the Director of Policy, you will own research projects, translate findings into strategies, and engage with policymakers and K-12 stakeholders.

You will guide internal briefings, represent the company at policy events, and shape policy engagement priorities with rigorous analysis and independent judgment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in K-12 policy or related field.
• Ability to frame problems and advance policy work with sound judgment.
• Sophisticated analysis and clear storytelling for diverse audiences.
• Experience managing priorities and stakeholders across teams.
• Familiarity with state/local policy development and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the team’s analytical resource for K-12 policy trends across levels.
• Own tracking of state/local legislation and policy with actionable implications.
• Lead projects translating mandates into policy recommendations.
• Translate regional analysis into strategies shaping engagement priorities.
• Provide briefings and frameworks for diverse audiences within the organization.
• Represent Great Minds at policy conferences and sector events.
