Job summary

ERS seeks Principal Associates to lead strategy and management projects for K-12 education partners. You will conduct strategic and quantitative analyses, design analytic plans, and manage cross-functional workstreams with external partners in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

You will drive milestones, manage teams and deliver audience-ready materials. Travel is expected, and a hybrid schedule in Watertown, MA is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of strategy/management consulting, school leadership, or district strategy with quantitative analysis.
• Strong quantitative analysis with accuracy; quality checks for self and others.
• Ability to assess complex situations and define actionable steps.
• Proven results through project and people management.
• Excellent communication, structured and clear.
• Willingness to travel 1–2 trips per month (2–4 days each).
• Hybrid work schedule in Watertown, MA; U.S. work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute analytic plans; translate findings into actionable recommendations for external partners.
• Drive project milestones; organize and delegate tasks; adapt plans as needed.
• Lead team meetings; ensure alignment and accountability for deliverables.
• Produce concise, audience-ready materials tailored to partners (central offices, boards, principals).
• Manage mid-level partner relationships end-to-end; foster collaboration.
• Contribute to knowledge base through research and external-facing tools.
