Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Content Implementation to lead end-to-end item and test development for large-scale K–12 statewide programs. You will translate standards into specifications and serve as a primary client-facing content leader, coordinating across Psychometrics, Content, Publishing Services, and Program Delivery.

Responsibilities include blueprinting, metadata configuration, labor forecasting, vendor management, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in educational testing and statewide assessments.
• Client-facing work and cross-functional leadership.
• Experience in item and test development for statewide K–12.
• Knowledge of psychometric principles relevant to development.
• Proficiency in project and financial planning.
• Strong vendor management and communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving and time management skills.
• Adaptability with enterprise systems and tools.
• Ability to travel throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on assessment design and content development for statewide assessments.
• Serve as primary client contact for content development requirements and educator committees.
• Translate standards into actionable item/test specifications and secure client approvals.
• Partner with Psychometrics on blueprint setup, test construction and data reviews.
• Configure item bank metadata and oversee form assembly for paper and online administrations.
• Create and monitor labor forecasts; participate in forecast and finance meetings.
• Lead scope discussions with vendors; initiate SOWs and coordinate escalations.
• Maintain content development schedules and manage change control and document updates.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans; log issues with corrective actions.
• Create and execute client communication plans; track satisfaction and timelines.
• Coordinate staffing; provide feedback and coaching to team members and vendors.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and cross-functional cooperation.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance content and ensure accessibility and privacy compliance.
