Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Content Implementation to drive end-to-end item and test development for large statewide K-12 programs. You will lead content development with client stakeholders, translate standards into specifications, and coordinate cross-functional teams including Psychometrics, Content, Publishing Services, and Finance.

The role requires 5+ years in educational testing, knowledge of psychometrics, and experience with paper and online modalities.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in the educational testing and assessment industry, including client-facing work and cross-functional leadership.
Experience with item and test development for statewide K-12 assessments and both paper and online modalities.
Knowledge of psychometric principles relevant to development.
Experience with statewide assessments; classroom teaching experience valued.
Proficiency in project and financial planning; strong vendor management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance on assessment design, content development and evidence-based practices for statewide assessments.
Serve as a primary client-facing content development lead and coordinate educator committee meetings.
Translate standards into item and test specifications and secure client approvals.
Lead scope discussions with content vendors and manage project forecasts and schedules.
Identify risks, implement mitigation actions, and ensure timely delivery of content.
