Interior Designer

SLI Group, Inc. is seeking an Interior Designer with 10+ years of commercial experience and a Junior Interior Designer with 1-5 years of experience. Candidates should be enthusiastic and independently driven within a collaborative environment. A bachelor’s degree in interior design with NCIDQ certification eligibility is preferred.

The role involves managing the entire project design process, client interaction, collaboration with architects and project managers, and handling multiple projects with tight deadlines. Projects primarily focus on commercial interior design in sectors such as financial, education, retail, medical, office, and religious fields.

Applicants must have a solid understanding of construction documents and technical details, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (2023), Office, Photoshop, FFE selection and specification, critical thinking, strong presentation and organizational skills, client service orientation, and immediate availability. Some travel within Texas will be required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop design and construction documentation based on existing concepts, scope, and budget, including:
• Door and window schedules
• Interior elevations
• Millwork
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, and other consultants
• Collaborate with architects and team members
• Participate in team meetings
• Report directly to an SLI Interior Designer during initial training
• Adhere to project schedules
• Assist other staff to meet deadlines
• Review submittals and coordinate field administration
• Conduct code research and ensure compliance with life-safety and accessibility standards
• Participate in construction administration
