Job summary

HomeWorks Energy is hiring a Journeyman Electrician to support, coordinate, and facilitate electrical work for customers. This role also supervises Apprentices and handles electrical hookups for HVAC equipment, panel upgrades, and remediation projects.

You will perform knob & tube and IC rated light assessments, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and provide all necessary documentation to pass MASS Save requirements. This is a field-heavy, customer-facing role.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the appropriate regulatory authority.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
• Must demonstrate basic fundamental knowledge of using a computer.
• Thorough understanding of electrical principles, practices, and techniques, as well as current electrical codes and regulations.
• Ability to trouble shoot and interact with customers and crews.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Electrical Apprentices and ensure productivity, safety, and quality.
• Perform knob & tube and IC rated light assessments with sign-off or quotes.
• Provide MASS Save and HomeWorks Energy documentation as required.
• Repair and install electrical components including thermostats, heat pump wiring, and panel upgrades.
• Ensure code compliance, obtain and maintain permits where required.
• Document installations and permits; complete reports and paperwork.
