Job summary

Vistra Energy, in partnership with SOCSOUTH, seeks a highly experienced Joint Fires Support Specialist to provide technical and operational support to the J3 and multiple directorates within SOCSOUTH. The role involves coordinating analysis, targeting, and effects recommendations in support of the SOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility.

Candidates must have 10+ years in fires/targeting within the DoD, completed Joint Targeting Staff Course and Joint Operations Fires Effects Course, and hold a current

Qualifications

• 10 years prior fires/targeting experience within the DoD at any level.
• Current TS/SCI clearance required.
• Graduate of Joint Targeting Staff Course and Joint Operations Fires Effects Course.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with J2 to analyze threat information and recommend effects analysis.
• Plan, coordinate, support, and brief targeting standards at GO level.
• Lead Joint Fires Support Cycle planning for SOCSOUTH and USSOUTHCOM outputs.
