Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Joint Exercise Planner at Camp Smith in Honolulu, Hawaii, to support the USINDOPACOM J73 and orchestrate the Joint Exercise Life Cycle for high-end exercises (e.g., COBRA GOLD, TIGER TRIUMPH, VALIANT PACIFIC).

Role includes directing planning, controlling events, and coordinating with staff across organizations. Travel up to 30% may be required; salary range is $120,001-$160,000; SAIC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years of relevant experience; 4 additional years accepted in lieu of degree.
• JPME Phase I completed; 2 years of joint HQ staff experience accepted in lieu of JPME Phase I.
• Thorough knowledge of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support USINDOPACOM J732 and related orgs to plan, direct, monitor and assess high-end exercises.
• Maintain deliberate action plans with milestones; prepare exercise directives and SOPs.
• Lead exercise work group planning meetings and IPRs with senior leaders.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure proper facilities, equipment, and personnel for exercises.
• Produce exercise orders/directives to guide planning and execution.
• Develop and integrate leader engagements, messaging, and demonstrations into events.
• Utilize tools like TMS, JTT, and MSS to support planning and execution.
• Respond to RFIs and maintain exercise information data sites.
• Perform Senior Control functions for the Exercise Control Group during events.
