Job summary

Ag-Pro Companies in Greenville, SC is seeking an experienced Service Technician to perform complex diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on John Deere equipment. This on-site role may involve mentoring trainees and supporting customer clinics.

You will handle billable time, document diagnoses and repairs, and stay current with Deere products. A strong toolset, teamwork, safety, and a valid driver's license (CDL preferred) are expected; pre-employment screening applies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience performing service repairs; demonstrated experience meeting performance metrics preferred.
• Experience performing repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment.
• Experience operating tools and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
• Experience with basic computer functions; experience using Service ADVISOR or other diagnostic tools preferred.
• Experience working cooperatively in a team environment.
• Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
• Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
• Conducts or supports customer clinics.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Responsible for documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed and timely submission of information.
• May participate in training programs required for skill development.
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required for job responsibilities.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and follows safety rules.
