Job summary

Ag-Pro Companies is seeking an experienced Service Technician to diagnose and repair John Deere equipment and technology. The role involves mentoring trainees, supporting customer clinics, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation of diagnostics and repairs on work orders.

You will operate and maintain tools and vehicles, follow safety rules, and stay current with John Deere and competitive products. A clean, organized work area and strong teamwork are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience performing service repairs; demonstrated experience meeting performance metrics preferred.
• Experience performing repairs and maintenance using special tools following Technical Manual procedures.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments

Experience, Education, Skills And Knowledge

• 3+ years of experience performing service repairs; demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics preferred
• Experience performing repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures on machines of the Technician’s specialty
• Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment
• Experience operating tools and equipment for diagnostic purposes
• Experience with basic computer functions; experience using Service ADVISOR™ or other computer based diagnostic repair tools preferred
• Experience working cooperatively in a team environment
• Experience communicating effective ly verbally and in writing
• Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred
