Job summary

Kate Spade New York is seeking a Product Development professional to support the Sr. Product Development Manager and team in delivering quality jewelry products on time.

You will maintain trackers, review specs for price and cost, and coordinate with design, merchandising, QC, customs, and production to stay on schedule. You will manage the sampling process, communicate design changes, proofread product profile sheets and packaging, and keep an accurate library of samples.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Retail/wholesale jewelry processes.
• 5+ years' experience in jewelry product development.
• Familiarity with design specs.
• Knowledge of costing models (Retail vs Wholesale).
• Experience working with overseas suppliers.
• Strong MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain trackers with up-to-date sample, costing, and communication data.
• Review specs at turnover to ensure price and quality alignment.
• Ensure specs are sent to vendors on schedule.
• Manage sampling process and track pass/market samples.
• Participate in sample reviews and resolve costing issues.
• Communicate design changes and QC feedback to vendors.
• Proofread product profile sheets and packaging notes.
• Maintain library of samples and approvals.
