Job summary

Kate Spade New York, New York, NY, seeks a dedicated Product Development professional to support the Sr. Product Development Manager and team in delivering quality products on time.

You will collaborate with design, merchandising, QC, customs, and production to keep milestones, track samples, review specs, and manage costing. This role emphasizes cost integrity and vendor coordination across global supply chains.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Retail/wholesale industry, jewelry process preferred.
• Experience working with overseas suppliers (China, Vietnam, India).
• Knowledge of international tariffs and duty rates.
• Knowledge of Costing Model (Retail vs. Wholesale, Markups, Margins).
• University degree or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Design Specs.
• 5+ years in jewelry product development manufacturing.
• Proficient MS Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design, merchandising, QC, customs specialist and production to ensure teams adhere to schedule.
• Maintain trackers with up-to-date sample status, costing, and communications.
• Review specs at turnover to ensure designs align with price and cost models.
• Manage sampling process and expedites pass/market samples.
• Assist in cost reviews and communicate QC comments to vendors.
• Ensure accurate product profile sheets and packaging call-outs.
