Job summary

Cognitive is seeking a mid-level Java Software Developer to join the CMS Drug Data Processing System and Payment Reconciliation System team, delivering features and quality code in an Agile environment. This remote role is limited to selected US states.

You will implement features, fix defects, and drive tests through CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, and Snyk, while maintaining documentation and participating in Sprint ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of Java application development experience.
• Experience with Python for scripting and support.
• Familiarity with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS).

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain DDPS/PRS features.
• Fix defects and contribute to sprint delivery.
• Deliver code via CMS CI/CD pipeline (GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory/XRay, SonarQube, Snyk).
• Write unit tests with Pytest/Unit Test and DBFit/FitNesse.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies.
• Maintain documentation per CMS standards.
