Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Java Engineering Lead in Irving, TX. The role is hands-on and requires leading application development, design, and SDLC activities while mentoring junior developers.

You will collaborate with the technology team and clients to deliver robust, scalable solutions using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices. Responsibilities include architecture guidance, code reviews, and ensuring adherence to Citi’s engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on development experience in Java/J2EE and Spring stack.
• Deep understanding of Microservices architectures and patterns.
• Experience with MongoDB and data modeling.
• Proficient in version control (Git) and issue tracking (JIRA).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (OpenShift).
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and SDLC lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions and design decisions with the team and clients.
• Hands-on engineering role with coding, reviews, and mentoring.
• Ensure successful delivery and adherence to Citi’s engineering standards.
• Perform code and design reviews; contribute to architecture and processes.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to clarify requirements.
