Job summary

NTT DATA Services in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Java Spring Boot Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications. You will implement REST APIs, microservices, and cloud modernization, using Oracle/PostgreSQL, CI/CD, and observability tools such as Splunk.

The role requires strong Java/Spring Boot expertise, cloud experience, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Java/backend development.
• 5+ years of experience with Spring Boot.
• 4+ years of experience developing REST APIs.
• 4+ years of experience designing and developing microservices.
• 4+ years of experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL and database integration.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• 2+ years of experience with Splunk or similar observability tools.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 3+ years of experience in application/cloud modernization and legacy system transformation.
• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications in production.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• 2+ years of experience with Git, code reviews, automated testing, and deployment processes.
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting complex application and production issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices for enterprise applications.
• Implement scalable services using secure architecture patterns.
• Work with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases and write complex SQL queries.
• Set up and support CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment.
• Monitor performance with Splunk and other observability tools.
• Participate in cloud modernization and migration of legacy apps.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, QA, and business analysts.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, deployment, and releases.
• Create technical documentation for modernization initiatives.
