Job summary

Cadmus seeks a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join a multi-year Federal contract team. You will develop, enhance, and maintain modern web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, REST APIs, and SQL Server, working across layers and environments to ensure reliability and performance.

You will collaborate with architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum setting, mentor junior developers, perform code reviews, and contribute to automated testing and deployment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a technical field.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Java/Spring development.
• 3+ years of Angular/AngularJS development.
• Experience working on Agile/Scrum development teams.
• Extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data/JPA/Hibernate & REST APIs.
• Strong front-end development experience with Angular/AngularJS.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful web services.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases, preferably SQL Server.
• Experience with JSON and XML.
• Strong experience with Apache Maven and dependency management.
• Experience with Git-based source control.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with unit testing and automated testing practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to obtain a FNS MBI Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate throughout the Agile software development lifecycle: backlog refinement, sprint planning, development, testing, deployment, and retrospectives.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using Angular, AngularJS, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Design and implement RESTful web services and APIs using Spring Boot.
• Integrate front-end applications with backend services and databases.
• Develop components following established coding standards and best practices.
• Work with SQL Server and develop efficient SQL queries and database integrations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, test, and production environments.
• Contribute to code reviews and improve application quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Translate functional requirements into technical designs and implementation tasks.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders to deliver enhancements.
• Develop unit and integration tests and support automated testing.
• Maintain and enhance existing and legacy applications while introducing modern Spring/Angular technologies as appropriate.
• Participate in deployment and production support activities.
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and implementation guides.
