Job summary

Cadmus is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join our Federal contract team. You will build and maintain web apps using Java/Spring and Angular, participate in Agile delivery, and collaborate across architects, QA, and DevOps to deliver reliable enhancements.

You will work across multiple layers, diagnose production issues, review code, and mentor junior developers while adopting modern Spring and Angular tech where beneficial. Eligibility for U.S.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Java/Spring development experience.
• 3+ years of Angular/AngularJS development experience.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development teams.
• Extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, MVC, Security, Data/JPA/Hibernate & REST APIs).
• Strong front-end experience with Angular/AngularJS.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful web services.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases (prefer SQL Server).
• Experience with JSON and XML.
• Experience with Apache Maven (pom.xml, dependencies, plugins, build lifecycle).
• Experience with Git-based source control.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum.
• Experience with unit testing and automated testing practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to obtain a FNS MBI Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile software development lifecycle activities (backlog refinement, sprints, testing, deployment, retrospectives).
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise apps using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Develop responsive web apps using Angular/AngularJS, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS.
• Design and implement RESTful services using Spring Boot.
• Integrate front-end with back-end services and databases.
• Follow coding standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Work with SQL Server and develop efficient queries and data integrations.
• Troubleshoot issues across dev/test/prod environments.
• Contribute to code reviews to improve quality, performance, security, maintainability.
• Translate requirements into technical designs and tasks.
• Collaborate with architects, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders.
• Develop unit/integration tests and support automated testing.
• Maintain/modernize legacy apps with modern Spring/Angular when beneficial.
• Participate in deployment and production support.
• Mentor junior developers through reviews and guidance.
• Create technical docs and diagrams for deployment/transfer.
