Job summary

SMX seeks a Software Developer to join a fast-paced, defense-focused team in a collaborative environment on-site in Chantilly, VA, Herndon, VA or Aurora, CO. The role requires TS/SCI CI Poly clearance and Security+ certification, with Java development using SpringBoot, OpenAPI, and related libraries, plus Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for deployments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance and Security+ certification.
• On-site role in Chantilly, VA; Herndon, VA or Aurora, CO.
• Proficient in Java with SpringBoot, Mockito, Lombok, OpenAPI (Swagger) and RESTful services.
• Experience with Git and Gradle; familiarity with Kafka, MongoDB, ActiveMQ, NiFi.
• Applications are containerized and deployed on Kubernetes using Helm.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy features.
• Write clean, maintainable Java code and manage deployments with Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure performance.
• Utilize Jira for project management and tracking.
• Apply security standards and compliance in all work.
