Job summary
EPITEC in Berkeley Heights, NJ is seeking a senior Java lead to drive development across the full SDLC. The role requires Kubernetes, OpenShift, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and NoSQL databases, with a focus on architectural oversight and mentoring a cross-functional team.
The candidate will lead Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban), ensure TDD practices, and collaborate with product, engineering and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software in a contract-to-hire capacity.
Qualifications
- Java 17+ development experience.
- Spring Boot and RESTful services.
- Kubernetes and OpenShift knowledge.
- NoSQL databases experience.
- Solid OOP and design principles.
- Experience across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
- Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, SharePoint, Fortify, and Sonatype.
- Test-Driven Development (TDD) expertise.
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Strong communication with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor development teams in delivery.

- Ensure quality through TDD and secure coding practices.
- Contribute to Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban).
