WOOD Federal Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer (Mid or Senior) to join a SAFe-aligned Agile team delivering a large, complex enterprise system that supports mission-critical outcomes. You'll contribute across the full SDLC, shaping user stories, writing clean and testable code, and integrating features into modern environments.

Deep Java experience is essential, with collaboration across product, UX, and platform engineers. U.S.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated experience with Java.
• Must have experience or familiarity with multiple Java frameworks: Spring Boot/Data, JEE (JPA, EJB, JTA), Jackson, Jersey, Swing, JavaFX.
• Must have experience or familiarity with multiple languages such as Javascript, Python, C/C++, Groovy, SQL.
• Must have experience with development IDEs such as Eclipse, VS Code, Visual Studio, Rhapsody, WebStorm.
• Must have experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server.
• Must have experience with Web Application UI Development and frameworks including AngularJS, JSON, HTML, XML, XSLT.
• Must have experience with software source control and configuration management tools.
• Must have experience developing on Windows operating systems.
• Must have documented professional experience with web services.
• Must have strong software development principles and collaborative communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform full lifecycle software development activities within an Agile team.
• Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning, PI planning, and Agile ceremonies.
• Analyze complex system requirements and create designs using industry-standard tools.
• Develop code that is efficient, maintainable, reliable, fault-tolerant, and reusable.
• Promote cross-team collaboration and reusable components.
• Develop, tune, and document automation scripts; deploy them into test and production environments.
• Implement robust test strategies following BDD and leverage DevOps automation and tools.
• Contribute to both server-side logic and client-side UI development as needed.
