Job summary

WOOD Federal Solutions is seeking Software Engineers (mid to senior) in Annapolis Junction, MD, to join a SAFe‑aligned Agile team delivering a large, complex enterprise system supporting mission needs. You’ll influence the full SDLC, craft stories, write clean code, and automate quality with BDD and CI/CD. Experience in Java is essential, with familiarity across frameworks and languages.

Applicants must be U.S. Citizens with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated, in-depth Java experience is required.
• Experience with Spring Boot, JEE, Jackson/Jersey/JavaFX is preferred.
• Experience with multiple languages: JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Groovy, SQL.
• Proficient in IDEs such as Eclipse, VS Code, Visual Studio, WebStorm.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-lifecycle software development within an Agile team.
• Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning, and PI planning.
• Analyze complex requirements and design using standard methodologies.
• Develop efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
• Promote cross-team collaboration and reusable components.
• Develop, tune, and document automation scripts for test/production.
• Implement robust test strategies following BDD and DevOps practices.
• Contribute to server-side and client-side UI development as needed.
