Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration invites a Principal Engineer Software – ENT to join the Colorado Springs team. You will develop Java-based enterprise services for the C2BMC program, supporting strategic defense operations with minimal supervision.

The role requires on-site work in Colorado Springs, a current DoD Secret clearance, and strong experience in Java/J2EE, Agile, and enterprise-scale software; collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience; or Master’s with 3 years; or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher at start of the contract.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance at start.
• Experience building enterprise applications on Linux (Windows experience also preferred).
• Experience with Maven, Git/GitHub, Nexus, and Eclipse.
• Experience with Agile development practices.
• Understanding Use Cases and SysML diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze systems software, resolve complex issues, and provide user support.
• Develop or modify operating system applications based on specifications.
• Support design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs.
• Collaborate with other system support groups to set standards and improve OS efficiency.
• Design, code, test, and implement tools for operations automation.
• Contribute across multiple phases of software system programming.
