Job summary
Enlighten USA is seeking a senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement Java-based software capabilities for complex systems. You will collaborate with engineers to deliver scalable microservices and RESTful APIs in a hybrid work environment, split between San Antonio and remote work as needed.
You should have 9+ years in software engineering, strong Java experience, and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
Qualifications
- Requires U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Security Clearance.
- Design enterprise APIs and RESTful web services.
- Experience with microservices architecture and OOP paradigms.
Responsibilities
- Must have a strong working knowledge and experience developing Java based software capabilities.
- Should have an inquisitive nature, responsiveness, and excellent testing skills.
- Must also possess strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.
- Experience with Next-Gen Coding Agents and agentic workflows in daily engineering routines.
- Agentic feature delivery: multi-file implementations, refactoring, and automated testing.
