Job summary

ALTEN Consulting Services GmbH, a provider of engineering and IT services, is seeking a software engineer to join our development projects. You will take over software engineering tasks across the life cycle, design according to requirements, implement, and perform unit and integration tests.

You should have a degree in Computer Science, hands-on OO programming experience, familiarity with Java, UML, design patterns, and strong English skills; German is a plus. Mobile working is available.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
Hands-on experience as a developer in object-oriented programming languages.
Ideally experience with MIDS and threat/sensor analysis.
Good overview of Java ecosystem and its application.
Strong knowledge of source code management systems, UML, OO design and design patterns.
Very good English skills and preferably good German skills.

Responsibilities

Take over software engineering tasks throughout the life cycle of development projects.
Responsible for software design according to requirements, implementation, unit and integration testing.
Take over responsibility for software and interface design considering feasibility, reusability, maintainability, safety, performance and IT security.
Ensure compliance with rules from software and aircraft development standards applicable to the project.
Live the agile transformation by following processes and identifying improvements to increase automation.
Foster collaboration within the project team and with stakeholders.
