Job summary

Wissen Technology is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer (VP/Director) to join our growing team in the USA. The role targets experienced engineers who can lead complex Java applications, RESTful services, and microservices in a hybrid onsite environment.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, influence architecture decisions, and mentor junior developers while delivering high-quality software for banking and fintech clients. Remote setup supported, strong problem solving required.

Role: Senior Java Software Engineer

Title: VP/Director

Experience: 10+

Mode of Work: Onsite 3-4 days per week

Required skills:

• Experience with Java/J2EE, DB technologies.
• Experience with Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Spring boot.
• Experience on Databases & Linux/Unix.
• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and Microservices.
• Knowledge of database systems: SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), and optionally NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of design and development skills.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in a fast-based business environment with a proven ability to balance multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
• The ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment.
• The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to internal and external stakeholders.
• The ability to multitask and disciplined attention to detail, along with a team player mentality.
