Job summary

Wissen Technology in Boston is seeking an experienced Java Technical Architect to lead the design and development of scalable enterprise applications. You’ll drive microservices, RESTful APIs, cloud migrations, and security, while mentoring teams and shaping technical roadmaps in a hybrid, onsite-friendly environment.

The role requires 10+ years in Java, with 3–5 years in architecture, hands-on experience across Java ecosystems, databases, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Java application development, with at least 3–5 years in an architecture role.
• Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of system integration, security (OAuth2, JWT), and API gateways.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
