Wissen Technology Private Limited is seeking a Sr AI Engineer in New York, NY on a hybrid schedule to build production-ready AI applications for top-tier client environments. The role focuses on retrieval systems, LLM APIs, and intelligent automation workflows with emphasis on engineering excellence and reliable delivery.

In a full-time AVP/VP capacity, you will define, develop, and deliver solutions for a top-tier investment bank or other esteemed client, based in New York with day 1 onsite

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in AI/engineering roles, with a track record shipping AI products.
• Hands-on with RAG pipelines, LLM APIs, and production-grade systems.
• Experience with Pinecone, Chroma, and embedding-based retrieval architectures.
• Familiarity with NotebookLM, Claude APIs, LangChain, and multi-step AI workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders.
• Graduate degree in CS/Engineering or related technical field.

Wissen Technology Private Limited is hiring a Sr AI Engineer in New York, NY (hybrid) to build production-ready AI applications for top-tier client environments. The work centers on retrieval systems, LLM APIs, and intelligent automation workflows with an emphasis on engineering excellence and reliable delivery.

Role Overview

In this full-time position (AVP/VP), you will define, develop, and deliver solutions for a top-tier investment bank or another esteemed client. The role is based in New York, NY with day 1 onsite requirements and a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week onsite, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Develop and promote a company culture of engineering excellence.
• Define, develop, and deliver solutions for a top tier investment bank or another esteemed client.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building RAG pipelines.
• Familiarity with NotebookLM, RAG tooling, and Python libraries (NotebookLM or similar).
• Experience with Claude / Anthropic APIs, Claude Code, or equivalent LLM tooling.
• Comfort building production systems on top of LLM APIs.
• Exposure to Pinecone, Chroma, or similar.
• Understanding of embedding-based retrieval architecture and indexing strategies.
• Experience with LangChain or similar frameworks for multi-step AI workflows.
• Experience with chaining, tool use, and prompt management at scale.
• Ability to build AI agents or workflow automations beyond simple chat interfaces.
• Experience with multi-step reasoning, tool integration, and autonomous task execution.
• Awareness of governance practices in enterprise settings, including logging, monitoring, cost controls, and responsible AI.
• Published or maintained GitHub repositories demonstrating applied AI work.
• Practitioner experience shipping AI products, building RAG systems, or deploying agents in production.
• Python proficiency (baseline).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with non-technical business stakeholders.
• Graduate-level degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
