Job summary

i-Link Solutions seeks a Senior Software Developer to lead the Tax Modernization effort for the State of New York. The role focuses on J2EE with JDBC/JSP/XML, Spring, and modern IDEs, guiding a team of developers and coordinating with ITS and the client.

The selected candidate will translate business requirements into automated tax applications, mentor staff, write detailed technical docs, and oversee lifecycle stages from design to deployment.

Qualifications

• 60 months experience with J2EE technologies including JDBC, JSP and XML
• 60 months experience developing, building, and testing Java EE applications using modern IDEs such as Eclipse, NetBeans, or IntelliJ
• 60 months experience using J2EE frameworks such as Spring or Struts and Application Servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, Websphere or WebLogic
• 60 months experience writing SQL statements for relational databases
• 60 months of experience in system analysis and design of multitiered transactional systems
• 36 months of experience in messaging technologies, such as MQ, JMS, Kafka

Responsibilities

• Lead developer for Tax Modernization efforts and provide support for maintenance activities
• Provide lead programming duties for tax related applications
• Develop and mentor staff using J2EE technologies including Spring, JSON, JavaScript and JDBC
• Develop and review detailed documentation for system and program change requirements
• Assist and guide through all phases of the project life cycle
• Coordinate unit testing and debugging of code changes in development environment and migrate changes to test environments
