Job summary

Creospan is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong Java background to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for enterprise applications. You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality, reliability, and scalability across services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software testing / SDET / quality engineering.
• Hands-on Java development with knowledge of Core Java, OOP, collections, multithreading.
• Strong REST API testing expertise and automation experience.
• Experience building automation frameworks using Java.
• Familiar with CI/CD integration and version control (Git).
• Proficient with Selenium WebDriver or Playwright for UI testing.
• Experience with JUnit/TestNG, Maven or Gradle, and REST Assured or Postman.
• Understanding of QA methodologies, test design, regression testing and defect lifecycle.
• Experience testing RESTful services, microservices, and distributed apps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Java.
• Develop automation scripts for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Leverage Java programming to build scalable automation solutions.
• Create reusable automation components, utilities, and test libraries.
• Perform API testing using REST tools (REST Assured, Postman).
• Develop UI automation using Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Analyze test failures, troubleshoot defects, and collaborate with dev teams.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation standards.
• Work with developers to improve testability and quality engineering practices.
• Perform database validation using SQL.
• Develop test strategies for complex apps and microservices.
• Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and defect tracking.
• Drive continuous improvement of QA processes and tooling.
