Job summary

DTCC is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to modernize Java-based, cloud-ready platforms supporting financial risk management and settlement operations. You will own automation frameworks and collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers, and platform teams to embed quality across the SDLC.

You will lead hands-on automation, advance Page Object Model patterns, and guide testing across UI, API, and backend layers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 6–8+ years of experience in test automation and quality engineering with a strong engineering focus.
• Strong Core Java programming and Selenium automation experience.
• Experience with API testing and SQL-based validation.
• Experience with CI/CD and Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy and evolution of enterprise-grade test automation frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive automation coverage across API, UI, integration, and end-to-end layers.
• Leverage AI-driven testing capabilities to enhance efficiency and coverage.
• Mentor teammates and promote automation and AI-driven practices across QE teams.
• Design and scale Java-based automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and JUnit.
• Develop reusable code and components following OOP principles.
• Implement Page Object Model and scalable automation patterns.
• Build UI, API, and backend automation with JDBC/JPA and SQL validation.
• Diagnose flaky tests and optimize test stability and locator strategies.
• Integrate test suites into Jenkins and Bitbucket pipelines for fast feedback.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and best practices.
