Job summary

JPMorgan Chase and its Confidential Computing Platform within Cybersecurity & Technology Controls (CTC) are seeking a Senior Software Developer to lead the design and delivery of Java services and client libraries for secure workload execution and platform automation.

You will drive CI/CD with Jenkins, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, and observability, while mentoring engineers and guiding architecture across product, platform, and application teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software/security engineering delivering production systems.
• Strong Java development skills (preferably Spring), designing services and client libraries with secure APIs.
• CI/CD engineering with Jenkins, automated testing, policy enforcement, and safe deployments.
• Hands-on Infrastructure as Code with Terraform; reusable modules and environment provisioning.
• Knowledge of SDLC, secure SDLC, agile methodologies, resiliency, and security.
• AWS fundamentals (IAM, networking, compute/containers), Linux/Kubernetes basics.
• Excellent design communication, code review (PR) skills, and mentoring capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and implementation of scalable Java services and client libraries; define interfaces and performance objectives.
• Own complex projects: translate goals into architectures, milestones, and execution plans; manage risk and timelines.
• Build, secure, and operate CI/CD pipelines with policy gates and automated tests.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and secure-by-default guardrails.
• Establish and evolve observability, SLOs, runbooks, and incident response readiness.
• Apply applied cryptography in code (TLS/mTLS, key rotation) and embed secure practices throughout the SDLC.
• Conduct design reviews, perform rigorous PRs, and mentor engineers on coding standards and architecture.
• Collaborate across product, platform, and application teams to onboard workloads and produce clear docs.
