Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer III to join the Corporate Technology, Employee Platforms team. You will design and deliver trusted, scalable technology products, supporting the firm’s objectives with secure, reliable platforms.

You will build container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure using Terraform, while maintaining MySQL and Kafka components in production and enhancing observability across systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a DevOps/Platform/SRE/Infrastructure role.
• Strong experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Artifactory and artifact promotion practices.
• Solid Linux fundamentals and scripting.
• Proven delivery of CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and deployments.
• Hands-on Terraform provisioning (modules, state, remote backends).
• Experience with MySQL operations and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Kafka (topics, partitions, monitoring).
• Experience with observability tools (logs/metrics/traces).
• Understanding of load balancing concepts and production support.
• Experience with DR/resiliency planning and testing.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate container platforms using Docker and Kubernetes, including deployments, scaling, and lifecycle management.
• Develop and maintain Linux-based CI/CD pipelines (build, test, package, deploy).
• Manage artifact lifecycle and dependencies using Artifactory.
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform and IaC best practices.
• Support MySQL and Kafka components in production environments, including monitoring.
• Implement and support infrastructure management activities (capacity, patching, configuration).
• Enhance observability and telemetry (logging, metrics, dashboards, alerts).
• Configure load balancers and traffic management patterns.
• Contribute to resiliency and disaster recovery readiness (RTO/RPO).
• Drive automation across operational workflows.
• Collaborate with application teams, security, and infra partners.
