Job summary

General Motors in Texas is seeking a Software Developer to design and implement microservices, REST and GraphQL APIs, and WebSocket solutions with Spring Boot. You will deploy on Azure using AKS, API Management, Cosmos DB, SQL Database, and monitoring tools for scalable, reliable solutions.

Strong testing culture with TDD, JUnit and Mockito, plus CI/CD in Azure. Hybrid work: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote. Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years in software development.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot for microservices.
• RESTful API development and familiarity with GraphQL.
• TDD with JUnit/Mockito; strong testing culture.
• CI/CD in Azure; version control with Git/Bitbucket.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices, REST & GraphQL APIs, and WebSocket solutions using Spring Boot.
• Deploy and manage microservices on Azure (AKS, API Management, Cosmos DB, SQL Database).
• Implement advanced monitoring with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki; optimize APIs and DB queries.
• Follow TDD with strong unit, integration, and functional testing; ensure security and scalability.
