Job summary

Thecorporate is seeking an experienced Technical Java Lead Developer to guide the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise backend applications. You will lead technical decisions, mentor teams, and deliver cloud-ready solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices in an onsite Philadelphia environment.

You will collaborate with solution architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to drive architecture, ensure code quality, and implement secure, scalable systems

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java backend or enterprise app development.
• Hands-on with Java 8/11/17 and Spring ecosystem.
• Expert in microservices, RESTful APIs, and SQL.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA, Oracle/PostgreSQL.
• Familiar with NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra) and messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Docker and Kubernetes proficiency; cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps.
• Git and Postman for API testing.
• OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML; secure auth practices.
• Logging/monitoring: Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Leadership: mentor teams, code reviews, drive best practices.
• Engage with solution architects and product owners on roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of backend apps using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build microservices-based apps and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with architects, PO, and stakeholders to define tech solutions.
• Lead technical design discussions and code reviews.
• Mentor backend developers and guide SDLC activities.
• Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Integrate with SQL/NoSQL databases and messaging systems.
• Implement secure coding practices and authentication.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD and container deployment.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to modernization and cloud-native initiatives.
