Job summary

TheCorporate LLC in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a seasoned Technical Java Lead Developer to steer the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure enterprise backend applications. You will mentor teams, drive technical decisions, and ensure cloud-ready solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.

You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps, lead code reviews, and uphold engineering standards across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java backend or enterprise application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8, 11, or 17.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
• Proficiency with relational databases and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with CI/CD tools and version control (Git).
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, and secure authentication practices.
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK, Prometheus).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and develop microservices-based applications and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with solution architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to define technical solutions and implementation strategies.
• Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, and development best practices.
• Mentor backend developers and provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Integrate applications with relational and NoSQL databases, messaging platforms, and third-party services.
• Implement secure coding practices and authentication mechanisms in accordance with enterprise standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and support application stability.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and containerized application delivery.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to application modernization, performance improvement, and cloud-native development initiatives.
