Thecorporate is seeking an experienced Technical Java Lead Developer to guide the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise backend applications. You will lead technical decisions, mentor teams, and deliver cloud-ready solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices in an onsite Philadelphia environment.

You will collaborate with solution architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to drive architecture, ensure code quality, and implement secure, scalable systems

Formación

• 10+ years of Java backend or enterprise app development.
• Hands-on with Java 8/11/17 and Spring ecosystem.

• Experience with Hibernate/JPA, Oracle/PostgreSQL.

• OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML; secure auth practices.
• Logging/monitoring: Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.

In this role, you will collaborate with solution architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to drive technical decisions, mentor developers, and deliver reliable, cloud‑ready enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise‑grade backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and develop microservices‑based applications and RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with solution architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to define technical solutions and implementation strategies.
• Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, and development best practices.
• Mentor backend developers and provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Integrate applications with relational and NoSQL databases, messaging platforms, and third‑party services.
• Implement secure coding practices and authentication mechanisms in accordance with enterprise standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and support application stability.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and containerized application delivery.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to application modernization, performance improvement, and cloud‑native development initiatives.

Required Qualifications And Technical Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Java backend or enterprise application development.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java 8, 11, or 17.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
• Proficiency in Hibernate/JPA and SQL.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and event‑driven architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency with Git and API testing tools such as Postman.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, and secure authentication practices.
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, or Dynatrace.

Technical Leadership Requirements

• Proven ability to lead and mentor backend development teams.
• Experience conducting code reviews and maintaining coding standards.
• Ability to drive technical excellence, software quality, and engineering best practices.
• Experience partnering with solution architects and product owners on technical roadmaps.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing event‑driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with Redis and distributed caching solutions.
• Exposure to GraphQL.
• Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience building enterprise‑scale, cloud‑native applications.
• Background in financial services, healthcare, or other enterprise environments.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
