Job summary

Grid Dynamics is seeking a senior Java engineer with Kotlin experience to work on a high‑visibility, production trading platform. You will analyze system behavior, ensure data integrity, and help shape architectural decisions with a high degree of autonomy within a skilled engineering team.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Java and Kotlin experience in enterprise-grade systems.
• Hands-on design of event-driven, message-passing architectures.
• Experience in capital markets trading or post-trade domains.
• Proven track record of trunk-based development, CI/CD and zero-downtime releases.
• Strong autonomy in a complex production environment.

Responsibilities

• Re-engineer core trading and post-trade systems into event-driven, cloud-native JVM services.
• Modernise legacy components while keeping live production platforms stable.
• Build data and market-expansion platforms underpinning the programme with features like cross-margining and credit financing.
• Design for failure handling, ordering guarantees, replay semantics and data integrity under market pressure.
• Practise TDD with containerised dependencies, fast feedback loops and end-to-end quality ownership.
• Deliver iteratively with trunk-based development, CI/CD and frequent production releases during business hours.
• Engage with business stakeholders and upstream/downstream teams to build domain knowledge.
• Utilise AI-assisted tooling to accelerate analysis of legacy code and refactoring.
