Grid Dynamics in New York is seeking a senior, delivery-focused software engineer to drive a multi-year finance-focused programme. You will build deep domain knowledge and collaborate with a strong internal engineering team while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Java with Kotlin experience in enterprise-grade systems.
• Experience designing event-driven systems with message-passing and event-sourcing patterns.
• Test-Driven Development as a practice with end-to-end ownership of quality.
• Hands-on experience in capital markets trading or post-trade environments.
• Track record of iterative delivery with CI/CD and zero-downtime releases.
• Autonomy to contribute to design discussions in a complex production environment.

Responsibilities

• Re-engineering core trading and post-trade systems into event-driven, cloud-native JVM services.
• Modernizing legacy components while keeping a live, financially significant platform stable.
• Building data and market-expansion platforms supporting features such as cross-margining and credit financing.
• Designing for failure handling, ordering guarantees, replay semantics, and data integrity under market pressure.
• Practicing TDD and shift-left testing with containerized dependencies, owning deliverables end-to-end.
• Delivering iteratively with trunk-based development, CI/CD, and frequent production releases.
