Job summary

State Street Corporation is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design and build new software features in Java/J2EE within a financial services environment. You will convert legacy systems into microservices and participate in digital transformation of complex transaction flows.

The role requires 7+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE experience, strong OO design, and familiarity with SQL databases, Unix, and React/MVC frameworks. Agile delivery and production support experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related or relevant field.
• 7+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE experience.
• Advanced knowledge of relational databases/SQL/Stored procedures (Sybase preferred).
• Experience with Unix and shell scripting.
• Experience in Visual Studio, Eclipse, XML, MVC, and React JS Frameworks.
• Experience with micro-services and component-based architectures.
• Strong coding, design & debugging skills.
• Respond to and troubleshoot production issues promptly as needed.
• Fast-paced project delivery experience.
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
• Capital Markets domain experience preferred; Asset Management/Investment Banking a plus.
• Knowledge of AI tools (GitHub CoPilot) is a plus.
