Job summary

Maagsoft Inc. is seeking a Senior Java/J2EE Application Architect for a 30-month engagement with New York State in Albany, NY. The role focuses on EJB, Spring and Hibernate, integration with IBM MQ and SSO, and guiding large-scale JEE solutions through the full SDLC.

You will mentor developers, define architecture, evaluate POCs, and collaborate with IT management and stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable web applications capable of handling millions of transactions.

Requested Qualifications

• 84 months of experience building complex, enterprise-level Java web applications, including all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.
• 84 months of experience collaborating with development teams to define unit and system testing standards, monitor performance, benchmark, and evaluate testing results.
• 84 months of experience performing release management for n-tier JEE web applications.
• 84 months of demonstrated experience communicating effectively both orally and in writing, including delivering group presentations.
• 84 months of experience analyzing business processes and workflows, collaborating with non-technical stakeholders to develop system specifications, and resolving application-related issues.
• 72 months of experience advising IT management on web application architecture, software evaluation, application component upgrades, Proof of Concepts (POCs), and mentoring developers in system architecture, design patterns, common system utilities, and secure web application coding practices.
• 84 months of experience in EJB development and transaction management programming in complex, large-scale environments involving approximately 1.2 million transactions and integration of J2EE applications with legacy mainframe systems.
• 84 months of experience working with or developing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions for JEE applications, preferably using LDAP and SiteMinder.
• 84 months of experience utilizing web services and IBM MQ within a JEE environment.
• 84 months of experience with XML, JAXB, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, rules engines, and Business Process Management (BPM).
