Job summary

Sligo Software Solutions Inc. in Albany, NY seeks a senior Java/JEE architect to design and guide the implementation of complex software systems. You will lead enterprise application analysis and design, set technical standards, and influence architecture across the SDLC, including legacy modernization and QA processes.

The role requires deep experience with JEE technologies, IBM WebSphere, Oracle PL/SQL, and SOA patterns. On-site engagement with government/federal standards is expected.

Qualifications

• 100% onsite in the United States.
• 60 months of experience designing and implementing highly available multitier applications.
• 48 months with IBM WebSphere Application Server or IBM WebSphere Portal Server.
• 60 months with Java/JDK 1.6+.
• 60 months with JMS, EJB, MQ, JSF, JAXB, JAXWS, JPA/Hibernate.
• 60 months with Oracle 10g+ including PL/SQL.
• 36 months of Criminal Justice/Fingerprint projects.
• Resume and identification documents required.

Duties

• This individual will be expected to provide expertise and guide
• development efforts in the following activities:
• Provide oversight on the analysis and design for enterprise applications using JAVA/JEE, JSF, XML, XSLT
• Expected to guide in the development of applications throughout the SDLC, including the redesign of legacy applications standards related to application technologies, including UI standards, development methodology, and coding
• and style guides
• Develop and guide quality assurance processes including code reviews, performance testing, security scans, and adherence to industry, state, and federal standards
• Identify and elevate technical risks and issues appropriately
• Guide and engage in development activities which may include data analysis, data structures, data manipulation, preparing logical database models.
• Prepare, and/or review technical documentation such as system architecture designs, schemas, solution proposals, as appropriate.

Mandatory Requirements

• Experience (12+ Years)
• Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system.

Requirements

• 60 months of experience designing and implementing highly available and scalable multitier applications using Object Oriented or Service Oriented Architecture involving data structures, algorithms, software design and JEE Design Patterns.
• 48 months of experience creating technical designs and developing and deploying applications in either of the following: IBM Websphere Application servers, IBM Websphere Portal Server.
• 60 months of experience developing applications that are implemented with JAVA Development Kit (JDK 1.6 or higher).
• 60 months of experience in developing of applications using JMS, EJB, MQ, JSF, JAXB, JAXWS, JPA (or Hibernate).
• 60 months of experience with Oracle 10g or higher including coding with PL/SQL.
• 36 months of experience Criminal Justice\Fingerprinting Projects.
