Job summary

Cognizant in Atlanta is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer for a hybrid role. You will lead end-to-end technical design for complex microservices-based applications using Java Spring Boot, ensure secure integrations, and guide teams on Gitlab workflows and code quality.

You will optimize performance, define testing strategies, and collaborate with product owners to align technical plans with business needs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise software engineering to deliver complex solutions.
• Proficiency with Gitlab-based workflows for branching, merging, code review and pipelines.
• Hands-on with Gemini Code Assist or similar tools to improve coding efficiency and reduce defects.
• Knowledge of microservices patterns including service decomposition and interservice communication.
• Strong understanding of advanced Java concepts (concurrency, memory management, performance).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical design for microservices-based Java Spring Boot apps.
• Oversee secure, reliable integration between microservices and external systems.
• Provide technical guidance on Gitlab usage and automated code reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement of development practices using Gemini Code Assist.
• Translate domain requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
