Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to design and deliver scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications. The role collaborates with architects, product owners, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to build modern solutions.

You will work with Java 17+, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, REST APIs, Microservices, Angular 17+/19+, TypeScript, Kafka, Docker, and CI/CD, in a hybrid work model with 3 days/week in Lake Mary, FL; Pittsburgh, PA; or Westborough, MA.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and developing microservices-based architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Angular 17+/19+, TypeScript, and front-end integration.
• Experience with Kafka, MQ, or other messaging platforms in event-driven environments.
• Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Build and support RESTful APIs and microservices with high availability and scalability.
• Develop data access layers using JPA/Hibernate with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Create user interfaces with Angular 17+/19+ and TypeScript, ensuring front-end/backend integration.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka and other messaging systems.
• Containerize applications with Docker and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define solutions and troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and best practices.
