Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Java SWE to support a suite of secure web-based applications used for data management in a government context. You will join a mature software team, work at a contractor facility with no telework, and use Java along with Quarkus and PrimeFaces in an Agile setting.

The role requires extensive Java experience, a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of six (6) years of recent, demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using Java.
• Familiarity with Agile development and tools with source code management practices.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining Java applications using the Spring Framework.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java-based web applications as part of a mature software development effort.
• Work in an Agile environment and use technologies such as Quarkus and PrimeFaces.
• Evaluate project needs, determine tasks and durations, and review designs for technical accuracy.
• Perform development, testing, installation maintenance, enhancement, integration and problem diagnosis with independence.
